Firstly as founder of the show, I will tell you a little more about it, I started the show in 2005 at Long Eaton Riding Clubs Ground, in an attempt to put something back into the world of showing, primarily honesty, a wide ranging schedule and whislt enjoying showing & equestrian events, raising funds for The Riding for The Disabled. Inspired and moved by the centre visit in 2005 spurred me on even more to do more good for this wonderful charity, photos can be seen on the RDA Page on this site.
So who am I... Well im Emma and a do 99% of the behind the scenes organising, If you know the work, time and effort it took you will understand why you would not do this role i you were not passionate about running an event and the shows, I challenge you to sit and think for 5 mins what it actually all entails !!! Much more than you could ever imagine !!! Then to bring it all together on the days before and on show day, well for that I rely on wonderful sponsors and my other half Richard, who funds most of the pre show expenses, and works tirelesly to get the tents up and tolerates my wittling on !!!!
To Mine & Richards Family, who help in the tents and with anything that needs doing and also cater for the judges, run raffles and basically keep us all fed watered and sane, Also Freda, Richards mum whos excellent mangerial skills really help in the tent on show day !!!
To Michelle Yeomans, our fantastic admin lady who got roped in at the first show in 2005 and i havent let her go since !!!!!!!!! She has worked at ever show we have had including the winter bonanzas.
To all the Sponsors, Helpers & Competitors who make the show run, may we continue with your Support for many years to come, Special mentions to Lorraine Moon, Jayne Mcauliffe, Chris Graham, Shelley Dobbs ( West Midlands Representative who gets the word out), Mr & Mrs Freestone, Tracey Southern & Elaine Kind, Alison Storer, Aaron, Josh, Ellie and Ian, Pro Care Medical Services, Knifetons Toilets many more please dont feel i have left anyone out intentionally as its just who my brain would think of at the time.
