Thank you to all you kind souls who braved the weather on Saturday 9th August. What a shame it couldnt have been Today ( sunday morning 6.50am) when we have radiant sunshine. We have already had emails & text messages of thanks and we carried on despite being very wet with smiles on our faces as did most people suprisingly. We had very few moans, only about our equestrian life classes which i did confirm that you can only compete in these if you carried the relevant card, issued by us or equestrian life, This was not in our schedule but our rules & regulations for these arrived after going to print. We had plenty of other classes to chose from on the day. I am going to make a start on the results soon, I have no idea who came where except in the Welsh Championships and Supreme of show. Well im off to dry the tents in the sunshine and i hope you enjoyed your day, The good news is we thought we may not break even this year but with everything we managed to make a 3 figure amount ( yet to be finalised) for The RDA at Scropton.

Thank you Eland Lodge for Having us the lasy 2 years, they are all brill and John helps us set up on the saturday, if you are unaware of how much effort goes into preparing a show then actually preparing it the day before, its not easy, belive me you can come and move some working hunter jumps if you want to test that !!!!

I hope you all had a great day despite the rain and hope to see youat the Xmas Show - Details now online.

We appricate any feedback and will leave it below for you to see  -

From Emma & Co @ Notts Derby Horse Show - The Rain will only dampen us breifly but we will be back fighting at end of 2008 & 2009 !!!!

"I'm sure you're still in the thick of it but just wanted to be one of the first thank you for organising such a great day, such a shame the weather wasn't on your side! But just wished to say what a lovely time we had, and how supportive and enthusiastic your judges, ring stewards and gate stewards were. (Gate stewards still cheery and waving as we left despite being soaked!)

A lovely day out and you and your staff seem to have coped really well with the weather and the only complaints I heard on the whole showground was about the rain - not much you can do with that! And of course thanks for the last minute changing of entries. "

Emma Lebutt

"Thanks emma & richard for another fab show. all of the judges were fantastic with the kids, no matter what their ability. all the kids from our yard came back thrilled to bits with all the rosettes and sahes, it really encourages them.
was so nice to see folk congratulating competitors as they came out of the ring, lovely to see the fun put back into showing.
shame the weather was so bad, but being soaked to our undies all day was well worth it, with our champion working hunter, and reserve supreme of show."

Sarah Wilkes - Mum of Olivia Wilkes - Reserve Supreme of Show

"Just wanted to say "thank you" for a very well run show.  I thought the standard was really good - we were in the Sec B in hand.  The Judge was really good, he gave plenty of "feed back".
It was a shame about the weather but I'd rather bad weather and a quality show, rather than the other way round!!!!
Looking forward to your next show."
